Hog-nosed Brochis 6-8CM The Hognose Brochis, one of the largest species of Cory Catfish, can be found in shallow streams and lakes in the Eastern Amazon and Napo rivers in Peru and Ecuador. It is easily recognizable by its very long snout, used for searching for food in sandy substrate, and its robust, heavily armored body. Similar to most Corys, they are peaceful, resilient, and thrive in groups due to their schooling behavior. Due to their size, Hognose Brochis are excellent choices as bottom feeders or dithers in aquariums with medium-sized South or Central American Cichlids or other predatory fish that are not large enough to consider them as prey.
