I love this lock for my motor scooter. It’s intimidating, very heavy, long, with huge faceted links in a noose formation, and a Safe Secure rating of Diamond. If I were a thief, I’d take one look and think, “Not worth the trouble.”The length allows me to lace through my front tire, around the iron stair post, back through the tire, and I then put the U of the lock around the fork — locking not just through the wheel, but to the wheel itself. While I still use other theft deterrents (throttle lock, another chain lock, and an alarm/wheel lock), with the Kohlburg I feel more sure than ever that my motor scooter is safe.I don’t carry it with me, I leave it wrapped around the post where I park, and rely on my back-ups when out and about, so the weight isn’t an issue for me.I live in intown Atlanta, and have had three motor scooters stolen over the years. They won’t get this one!
