Escoda Modernista Series Artist Oil & Acrylic Long Handle Paint Brush, Bright/Shader, Size 12, Synthetic Mongoose

I use oils primarily and as much as I like a good bristle brush, or even better red/black sable brush or (if I can afford it at the time) a well made kolinsky brush. There is something about a synthetic mongoose(or real mongoose if any are lucky enough to own one) brush that simply is in a class of its own, technically speaking the smoothness of the stroke is reminiscent of a sable or kolinsky but it will retain its shape much like the hair of a bristle brush. It really is something to experience.I digress, this specific brush offered here by Escoda is a great example of a well made synthetic mongoose and I highly recommend it. Same goes for many of the brushes they offer!
